Christmas is a fun and exciting time of the year, and it’s a great opportunity to share times with family, friends and members of the community. It’s also a fantastic time to learn more about how the birth of a tiny baby would change our world forever! We have a number of special Christmas services and events coming up and we would love for you to join us at them to celebrate the birth of Jesus! Why not come and make yourself at home with us this Christmas?

The first weekend in December is full of Christmas cheer! We’re kicking off with a very special guest joining our community breakfast morning this month…Santa! Come along and enjoy a full English breakfast with unlimited juice, tea, coffee and toast, all for just £6. Alongside this the children will have a chance to meet with Santa, take a photo with him and receive a free gift. His elves will also have lots of festive arts and crafts for all to enjoy!

On the first Sunday of every month we have an informal, all-age family worship in the Church hall where we explore our faith through music, drama, arts & crafts, interactive prayers and yummy snacks! Our Christingle service is a very special all-age worship where we begin our countdown to Christmas! We will build our Christingles together, discover the meaning behind each element, enjoy some fun activities and eat some yummy treats! (note: this service will be held in the small Church hall, please follow the signs when you arrive)

Come along to The Ampleforth Arms pub (Risinghurst) on Sunday 7th December for Quiz Night! All good fun and a great start to the Festive season. Free entry – with a charity collection! It will be great to see you there!

School is over and (hopefully) your office has shut for the holidays! Come and celebrate with us at the Ampleforth Arms Pub in Risinghurst as we share an evening of Holly Jolly carols! Pop on your ugliest Christmas jumper and come along to enjoy our live band from Collinwood Road Church, sing along to some festive favourite songs and share a drink with people from your local community! This event is sure to fill you with Christmas spirit and is a great way kick off your Christmas holidays

Our special Nativity service will begin at 10am, where children from the local community will bring the magical Nativity story to life. This is followed by our traditional three-course Christmas dinner at 12pm. Dinner costs £15 per person (children under 12 free). For further information and to book your place for dinner please call Angela Fensom on 07815209122! (If you’d like to come for dinner but you’re struggling with the costs, just let us know and we’ll sort something out!)

Come and begin your Christmas day by celebrating the birth of Jesus in this short, fun, joyful worship, suitable for all ages. With live music, rousing carols, sweet treats and fun activities, this service is sure to remind you of why Christmas is so important and all the joy that was brought by the arrival of a small baby over 2,000 years ago!
