Children are an important part of our church family and join us for worship every Sunday. We aim to make our services interactive and easy to understand so that all children and young people can partake fully in worship. Children are provided with an activity bag full of fun things for them to do to help them explore their faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Junior Church (2nd Sunday of every month, 10am)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n On the second Sunday of every month children (from the age of 3 years upwards) and young people are invited to leave the adults and go into our Coffee Lounge where they interactively explore different bible stories through arts and crafts, music, games and discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Summer H<\/b><\/span><\/strong>oliday Club 2026<\/b><\/span> – GO FOR GOLD!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Holiday Club is returning in August 2026 as we explore “Going for Gold” at our sports themed club! The Holiday Club will run on the 11th, 12th and 13th of August from 10am to 3pm. We invite all children aged 5 to 11 to come and join us as we we celebrate sports, moving our bodies and team work! For any further information please email georgina.fensom@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re aged over 11 we would love for you to join us as a youth helper, and if you’re a bit older than that, we are also looking for adult volunteers to help us run the event. If you would like further information about volunteering please email outreach@urccollinwood.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Over Summer 2025 and Easter 2026 we welcomed 26 children to our Superhero themed Holiday Clubs. We explore Superheroes of the bible including David, Gideon, Ruth and Jesus. We did lots of fun activities such as singing, karate, football, dancing, arts & crafts, and Superhero training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Over summer 2023 we welcomed 34 children over four days to join us for activities (in collaboration with Naturehood) where we looked at minibeasts in the water, in the air and in the earth.\u00a0 We did arts and crafts, played games and explored.\u00a0 During the Harvest Festival service we thought about our great big God and how he made all these beasts\u2026 and he made us too!<\/p>\n\n\n Other Activities<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Children and young people are often invited to join events with other churches and youth groups. This year we joined the Wessex Synod children\u2019s and youth camps, and joined together with Barton Youth Club for a trip to Jump Inc. Bicester!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We have more fun activities planned so please regularly visit our website and Facebook page for updates.
