Junior Church
At Collinwood Road children usually join the main service for about the first 15 minutes, and then leave to go to their separate Junior Church. Bible stories, games and other activities provide a basis for discussion at a level appropriate to their age range.
Scouts & Guides At Collinwood Road
The Collinwood Road church sponsor branches of the Scout & Guide Associations on Risinghurst which meet in the church hall.
For boys between 6 and 8 years the Beaver Scouts offer an emphasis upon games and projects through which they learn to work as a group and make friends. The Cub Scouts (for those between 8 and 10 years) encourage boys to be adventurous and try different things, including taking part in camping weekends. Older boys, up to 15 years 6 months, have the opportunity to join the Scout troop . Scouting is meant to be both fun and challenging: there are opportunities for canoeing, orienteering, camping and hill-walking.
Collinwood Road also has an active Brownies group for girls between 7 and 10 years.
