Children and young people attached to Collinwood Road United Reformed Church are automatically part of our Rainbow Club. We run a number of events throughout the year which all children and young people are welcome to attend or help run as young leaders. Please see below for further information.

Children in worship

Children are a hugely important part of our church family and we have children joining us for worship every Sunday. We aim to make our services easy to understand and interactive so that all children and young people can fully partake in worship. All children will also be provided with an activity bag full of fun things for them to do to help them explore their faith.

Rainbow Club children’s group

We previously ran a children’s club on the 3rd Sunday of every month, where children were invited to leave the adults in the Church and go into our Community Library and Coffee Lounge where they will interactively explored different bible stories through arts and crafts, cooking, music and discussion. Unfortunately, we are currently not able to run this group due to a lack of adult volunteers. If you are interested in helping us get this club back up and running please contact Georgina Fensom at georgina.fensom@gmail.com

COMING UP Rainbow Holiday Club Extravaganza 2023

Previous Events

Rainbow Holiday Club 2019

In August 2019 our Rainbow Holiday Club returned for another successful year. The children and young people explored the story of Jonah and even got to go and see inside a whale’s stomach! The day included arts and crafts in our messy Church sessions, an under the sea party, karate, football, a nerf gun battle, science experiments and much more! We would like to say a huge thank you to all the children and young people who came along, family and friends who joined us for our closing worship, and all our fantastic volunteers who made the day possible. A selection of photos from the holiday club can be seen on this page but more can be found on our Facebook page by clicking HERE!

Rainbow Club Pancake Party 2019

We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who attended our Pancake Party, and to those who helped run the event. We had a lot of fun enjoying yummy pancakes and exploring what Lent means to us. Some photos of the event can be found on our Facebook page by clicking HERE!

Rainbow Holiday Club 2018

Our first Rainbow Holiday club took place in August, 2018 at Collinwood Road United Reformed Church, Risinghurst, and we were pleased to be joined by a fantastic group of children. Over the course of three days we learnt all about the story of Noah through worship, singing, discussion groups, arts and crafts and creative writing. The children also got to enjoy a number of fun activity sessions including karate, a nerf gun battle, cooking, big art, Scottish dancing and ball games. The Holiday Club encouraged the children to come and explore their faith in a lively and informal setting whilst making new friends, learning new skills and having fun! A selection of photos from the holiday club can be seen on this page but more can be found on our Facebook page by clicking HERE!
